What are Veneers?
A porcelain veneer is basically a permanent “shield” for your teeth. Also called porcelain laminates, veneers adhere to the front of your teeth and provide you with an attractive smile. Veneers act as a shell, and they can help close gaps, straighten misaligned teeth and even protect against future teeth darkening or staining.
Veneers can often be a cost-effective alternative to extensive dental procedures, such as crowns and bridges. Although a veneer cannot substitute for preventative care and some necessary treatments, they are usually a good option for patients who would otherwise need a few crowns or minor bridgework.
